The last weekday run

Tuesday marked my last weekday run.  Shortly after I got up, and was getting ready, my husband came into the room and asked me what I was doing up.  It was about 4:45 am.  I told him I was going running, and he said, "it's dark outside".

I went out and it was fairly dark, but I wasn't worried about it.  I had grabbed a glow stick because my cloths have no reflective anything on them, and I really should be somewhat noticed by passing cars. Although I had debated going out for a few minutes, so by the time I got started I was running late.  On my run I saw three creatures that were eating weeds on the path.  I don't know what they were, they scurried off toward the canal just as I noticed them.  I grabbed my phone, turned the light on, and tried to see what they were, but they had vanished.

I'm not sure if they were porcupines...  (I don't think we have those) raccoons, skunks (there was no scent) or what, so I ran very quickly away.  I got to the end of the dirt path and glanced at my watch.  Then I just turned around and ran back up the path.  As I was running back I thought I just made a waste of a glowstick.  Because the bugs are getting extra thick now, I was going to pass the backyard path where they attack, and go through the front yard.  When I hit the path to go to the main road, I glanced at my watch and had more time then I thought left.  So I kept going around the block instead.

It's quite possible I startled a lady in a robe and curlers as she was pushing the trashcan out to the curb. I knew for sure that this was my last run when I made it home before the sun started to show.

I held hope for Thursday though.  I got all ready, looked outside, and decided Zumba was a safer option.

I was planning to run today, but my husband had to take care of a few errands, and by the time he got home, It was too late for me to get the time in before I had to be somewhere.  So, tomorrow we have no early plans, so I shall be out running.  Then on Tuesday, I get to meet the treadmill.  I guess I'll see how that goes..
